Hair Salons: find salons who specialize in curly hair near you
Curly hair stylists and salons. Yes, such
people and places do exist. And,
for those of us who have struggled for years trying to find someone who
understands how to cut our curls and teach us how to manage them at home they
are nothing short of miracles. But, how to find them. There are two
ways. First, seek out salons who specialize in cutting curly hair.
Their stylists are more likely to be trained and/or experienced in working with
curly hair and styles. The second is to do some homework to find the
stylists in your area who specialize in curly hair but do not work specifically
in a curly hair salon. When calling a non-curly salon, ask if they have
any stylists who specialize in cutting curly hair.
Seeking
the curly hair Salons
I spent some time sifting
through information from various sources and found the names of salons who
specialize in curly hair. I concentrated on finding salons that specialize
in curly hair rather than specific stylists because I've been through the
frustration of hearing about a great curly stylist only to try and make an
appointment and find they have left their salon for places unknown. With a
curly salon, you are much more likely to find someone else capable of giving you
a wonderful cut. We define a curly salon as a salon who indicates that
they specialize in curly hair, a salon whose owner specializes in curly hair, or
a salon who has several stylists in residence whose specialty is curly hair.
For the most
part, I have no information in regard to the the quality of the any of the salons
listed or any of
its stylists employed there. Therefore, I would
investigate each salon individually and choose an appropriate stylist before I booked an appointment.

Finding a stylist who not only has the ability to cut curly hair but with whom
you feel comfortable and develop a rapport is so important, so take a little
time to investigate and choose.
